Trees
In this series I employ the tree as a symbol for it holds special meaning for me. Piet Mondrian believed the horizontal to symbolize the material and the vertical the spiritual, and he saw the tree as representing a balance between both planes. I also believe the tree symbolizes sturdiness, wisdom, and a calm, balanced life. The golden curves and spirals in this series are inspired by the biomorphic forms of Gustav Klimt.
